Filed under: email marketing — admin @ 8:57 am

Hey guys I want to know the procedure of Email Marketing on the sites like Yahoo, Rediff, etc… This is basically to give International touch to my business

If you really want to give international touch, then to show some professionalism, you must use email address at your OWN domain name(containing name of your business )

I would like two email lists to send separate mails to. How can I split or build a different email list.?

Filed under: email lists — admin @ 8:57 am

I need separate email lists so I can send mailings to former classmates for class reunion without having to send to my entire email list or adding classmates and checking everyone else off.

Create mailing lists:
1. click on "contacts" on the left
2. click on "Add List"
3. give your list a name for later reference
4. type the name of a contact you want to add to the list in the text input field and click "Add Contact to List"
5. repeat step 4 for every contact you want to add
6. click "Save" when you're done to add the list to your contacts

Next time you want to send a mail to everyone in that list, click the list name in your contacts and it will start a new E-mail message for you.

What is the best, most affordable media contacts software on the market? Please, don't answer Burrelle's. ?

Filed under: list building software — admin @ 8:57 am

I currently use Burrelle's to create and manage media lists as well as media monitoring. Their media monitoring is unmatched (of course my opinion) but their media contacts list building leaves MUCH to be desired. We are a small company and need something affordable.

You can sign up with B.T. Most listing and marketing companies do.
But try to find someone to monitor the addresses. I do that but only in KT17,18,19,20 districts.

How much does a mailing / email list for a specific demographic in a specific CA zip code cost?

Filed under: email list mailing — admin @ 8:56 am

Figure 8 to 15 cents per name, depending on the specifics for the list. Remember many list suppliers have a minimum order, usually 5,000 names.

I usually ballpark about $1 per mailpiece "in the mail" including list, printing, postage, lettershop for a standard letter or flyer.

Two things:

1) if it's basic consumers at home with a certain income, zip code etc, try www.infousa.com

2) if it's a real niche, like old ladies who are into crochet, then go to a big city library and ask for the SRDS - Standard Rate and Data Service Direct Mail list guide. Or you can buy it online but it's not cheap.

Also, this is a newbie question… be careful in Direct Mail, it's very powerful if you do it right but if you get even one element wrong your whole mailing is worthless. It's not a media that's beginner-friendly (it's easy to do, but hard to succeed)

I strongly recommend you get a copy of "Magnetic Marketing" which is the classic work in this area - it's by Dan Kennedy available at www.dankennedy.com. And no, I'm not getting paid for that.

Good luck,
Scott

Excel - Column of email addresses. How do I make each cell hyperlink to that email?

Filed under: addresses email — admin @ 8:56 am

I have an Excel spreadsheet, Column M is populated with email addresses. I want to format this column so that when I click on the email addresses it opens an email addressed to that email address. How can I do this? I'm hoping to do this using formatting or style or something. I really don't want to change each cell individually.

I'm using Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003.

I'm not sure if 2003 automatically assigns hyperlinks to items it recognises as email addresses. You could try F2 and then Enter to see what it does. Otherwise you can run some VBA code to put the hyperlink into each cell:

Sub Email()

For i = 0 To 10

X = Range("M1").Offset(i, 0)
Y = "mailto:" & X

Range("m1").Offset(i, 0).Select
ActiveSheet.Hyperlinks.Add Anchor:=Selection, Address:= _
Y, TextToDisplay:=X

Next i

End Sub

The code won't work with numbers or empty cells, so you could refine it a bit.

one
two

I tried tables, but they seem to ruin the layout of the blog.

make sure you switch the blog to html mode first, then you can use table codes

this should help in properly making a table

Anyone know the email address of the Vietnamese Refugee Association in the USA?

Filed under: email list usa — admin @ 8:56 am

They must have a listing of all the refugees who settled in the US. I am trying to locate a Vietnamese friend

It would be a pretty long list, compiled over 20 years. People do tend to move around a lot here in the US on top of everything else. And, which organization you would contact is more complicated than you would imagine.

Some 500,000 Vietnamese came out immediately after the collapse of South Vietnam. Most went through Guam, were sent on to several resettlement camps in places like Arkansas and Florida, and then scattered across the US. Then in later years, Vietnamese fled by boat from Hong Kong to Indonesia which set up refugee camps for 10 or 15 years. The US eventually set up refugee resettlement processing in Ho Chi Minh City, although it was headquartered in Bangkok until the mid-90's under the title, the Orderly Departure Program. ODP was run by the International Catholic Migration Commision headquartered in Switzerland. At the high point of refugee processing, over 10,000 people were being interviewed each month in Ho Chi Minh/Saigon.

The refugees were sent onward to the US and resettled under a wide group of US refugee organizations, like Lutheran Services and Catholic World Services, among others. So, finding one person will be very complicated indeed. You could try the various refugee groups like the Lutherans and Catholics. ICMC has an email address in Switzerland, icmc@icmc.net. But, the chances of getting someone to answer and come up with a current address will be very hard. Depending on where you live, there may be Vietnamese groups that might help. Orange County, CA has probably the largest concentration of Vietnamese here in the US. DC has a sizeable community as well. Or, you could always Google your person or use one of the commercial people search programs on line, at a price. But good luck to you in any case.

Singapore - I need to build up a database of email addresses for b2b use. Where can i buy such list?

Filed under: email list database — admin @ 8:56 am

Be it free or payable? We need the email addresses for email blasting for our corporate services. Thanks

You can approach events and exhibition companies. They may have qualified leads in your area of business. That will satisfy your management desire for instant action. That said, spam mail are not welcomed. Best is to have personal follow-ups. The other method is to harvest it yourself. It only takes some patience and a bit of resourcefulness.
