I want some Email marketing tips?

Filed under: email marketing — admin @ 10:41 am

Could anyone tell me some unknown email marketing tips? Say, how to let a receiver read your email and reply to you rather than delete it without reading?
Give me examples.

Some great ideas attached. I always try to put the persons name in the subject and something that grabs their attention right away as you have one shot at getting them to open it.

How do I delete my extra email address?

Filed under: address email — admin @ 10:41 am

Extra Mail Address

Sometimes one email address isn’t enough. Need an extra one for work, school, or family? Yahoo! Mail lets you create one extra email address for free. Use it exactly like your primary address, and get messages sent to both addresses delivered to one Inbox. Remember though, you can only get one extra mail address for your account.

I don’t want the extra email address anymore. I still want the original one. How do I delete just the extra one?

Follow the link on Yahoo Help
It will tell you how to close an acct

Make sure its not connected to Flickr photos
or you’ll lose the photos you have there.

How can I set up a email based newsletter/mailing list that users can subscribe to (and do it for free)?

Filed under: email list mailing — admin @ 10:41 am

preferably not yahoo or anything but if that’s the only uncomplicated way, then how do I use yahoo to do this?

You should get yourself some email software. I highly recommend a program called Group Mail. It is easy to use, fully featured and best of all, there is completely free version.
Good luck!

where did bulk go on mail list..many of my email go to it?

Filed under: email list bulk — admin @ 10:41 am

You now have a Spam folder this is the new upgrade they did. Look on your email page and it will say "What’s New" click on it and it will show you all the changes they made. I tried to switch back and have not found a way to switch back. I tried clicking on Mail Classic and nothing happened. The OPT out button does not bring the old one back either. Yahoo more or less says we are stuck with it. Hope this helps!!!

How do you make email addresses active links in an Open Office spreadsheet?

Filed under: addresses email — admin @ 10:41 am

I made a spreadsheet in which I keep customer addresses and such using Open Office.org
Originally when I had a column that had email addresses in it they were active. Now they’re not. How do I make them clickable or active again?

1. Highlight the name in the cell

2. Go to Insert in the pull down menu

3. Left click on Hyperlink

4. Put in the email link information.

You will probably need to do this for each entry.

My email page will not display.I moved from USA to Germany. Java updated, cache cleared. What now? D/n Work?

Filed under: email list usa — admin @ 10:41 am

I’ve tried mousing over my mail link once signed in. It shows a list of a few emails, but when I click any of the emails, or select the mail link, it takes me to a blank screen with Done in the bottom left corner. I tried a public computer that it worked on previously, and it has the same problem now…HELP! This is my primary email account!?!

Yahoo Help is swamped with complaints about the "Blank Screen". THousands of users are reporting this problem. You can not fix it. It is not your computer.

We are all waiting.

Next time , enter Mail thru the link at the top left of any Yahoo Answers page instead of the main Yahoo page.

Click on FORUM at the left side of the Y!A Home Page. Read
"Problems going on with Mail".

How do I make a mailing list from the emails in an Outlook Inbox folder?

Filed under: email list database — admin @ 10:41 am

A colleague has an Outlook folder full of emails generated by our website when users provide an email address to access some resources they can download. We want our web developer to write this info to a database, but whilst we wait for this poor overworked dude to complete a million other tasks before adding this functionality, how can we add the users email addresses to a distribution list in Outlook without having to do it manually? The users email addresses show up in the standard ‘From’ field of the email.
NB: The email addresses are not already within ‘Contacts’ so cannot be added to a distribution list. There are many hundred emails from different email addresses and therefore adding them manually to ‘Contacts’ before creating a distirbution list would be very time-consuming.

highlight the them all then ctrl c and paste into exel as a CSV instant spreadsheet!
