I subscribed several times (UK) with different email accounts and although I receive the email with the confirmation URL, I have never received any newsletters or updates or even the Welcome Email that it says I should get once I confirmed. I have added the email address to my Contact so would not be deleted as spam. I really hope someone will be able to help me as I don’t want to miss anything.

Well, I don’t know about the welcome email, I don’t think I got a confirmation email, or any emails since.So, I don’t think you’re alone.
They might just not have all the things in the site worked out yet.

You will wonder why I am still using yahoo mail. I guess I am a animal of habit and old habits die hard :-). Here is my next dilemma with yahoo.

Why can’t I send to one of my mailing list which has a large number of recipients ? see Error 1.

When I split it into two smaller sets of addresses I get another road block (@#$%^%#$@$*&$%^*(# grrrrrrr…), see error 2.

So either way I cannot reach my friends to send a simple email. As usual it is hard as ever to reach yahoo to find any help in this matter.

In my case I created the message myself and want to send it to my mailing list. That is the sole purpose of the mailing list. Then to add to my problem yahoo will restrict me from sending out to a smaller lists within the hour.

This can easily be corrected by using google mail and any local email program. Hence I think that yahoo mail is broken or poorly designed to meet the needs of the user.

It needs to be fixed ASAP .

Thanks dsl278 for the information that yahoo allows only 100 addresses per message.

I have much fewer addresses than that and yet see this problem.

I think I found the hidden answer in yahoo’s error message. For those who understand what "promoting your own product at the cost of restricting standard function" means, then this statement will provide the answer.

Yahoo statement (check error 2) : "To send messages to a large group of people, visit Yahoo! Groups."

Error 1: too many addressees.
You can send a message to maximum 100 addresses at the same time ("to", "cc" and "bcc" combined). (http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/basics/basics-09.html)

Error 2: reached limit for the hour.
Nothing you can do about it. This is just Yahoo! policy, not a real error.

Their unsubscribe process doesn’t work. I’ve tried multiple times.

Call them and tell them to remove you or you’ll alert the FCC.
