where can i get a list of U.K. email addresses for marketing purposes?

or any country for that matter, my customers are all outside the usa, but business has slowed considerably this year. i've looked at online sources and they want to charge $300 or more for a list. not in my budget…
thanks for the input. i don't mean to spam, i'm looking for folks who willingly have "opted in" to receive email offers.
also, pals, if you knew what i sell, you mightn't be so disparaging. cheers!

Now that seems stupid to me. Actually advertising the fact that you are one of those annoying people who send us cr@p information we don't want. I do hope you don't find what you are looking for!

  2. Maybe you should stop spamming people and do something constructive. Have you considered paying for adversiting, or improving your search hits, etc?

  4. you shouldent really do that - people dont want it.

    but if you have to i think that you should go to places like virginmedia - which are in a bit of trouble at the mo and ask them for addresses or you can just make up a load of random adresses and hope that they are real people!

  5. Rather than spamming, have you considered targeting your advertising?

    That way you build up your own genuine data base of interested potential customers, who probably won't object if you continue to email them once in a while with promotions.
