Why can’t I list on Yahoo auctions if I live outside USA?
They suddenly blocked my auctions; I can’t edit, list or cancel auctions and they won’t answer ANY of my emails/questions. Is it because I’m outside USA? Does it matter? Does anyone know?
No, I don’t KNOW why, but I’d GUESS that it’s because a huge amount of fraud originates outside of the USA, and no one in the USA can prosecute people from these countries. If you’re not under their legal jurisdiction, then they don’t feel that they need your business.
(You wouldn’t happen to be from NIGERIA, would you? Sorry..that was intended to be a joke.)

Yahoo auctions does have its own policy, try ebay. It’s better.

It shouldn’t matter if you live outside of the US but, if you live in a geological area ( such as Nigeria or West Africa ) that is prone to scams, I can understand why they wouldn’t allow anyone from that area to post auctions on the website.

Because of rampant fraud with eBayers from outside the USA. The problem is when it’s outside the US, it is more difficult to prosecute.
Sounds like opportunity to me. Maybe we should start a European e-bay?
