how cheap can someone build a decent gaming computer?

Filed under: build a list — admin @ 10:00 pm

I’m thinking quad core (probably AMD) 6 gigs RAM and about 1-2 Tera hard drive with XP operating system…any thoughts, suggestions, or build lists from some techies out there?

How cheap can someone build a decent gaming computer?

(1) It depends on what you mean by "cheap."

(2) It depends on what you mean by "decent."

A Radeon 4870 will undoubtedly run some games. That’s pretty cheap ($100 after a $30 mail-in rebate).

Radeon 4870 compared to Radeon 5770 and GeForce GTX 460 768MB,

The total price on this list is $571 (not including roughly $20 in shipping, or a $30 mail-in rebate on the video card).

If you have more money than that, the next upgrade increment over the above list would be to use whichever higher end video card still meets your budget (especially the Radeon 6850 or GeForce GTX 460 1GB), and possibly a second low speed 120mm fan for the front of the case.

Hi there,
I read this and it sounds suspiciously like something that was on MSNBC. It was a special called to catch and identity thief. Basically what they do is send goods from random credit cards that they order illegally to your address. Then they will have you go and forward it along. The lack of interview and away on business was key for me. Chris Harrison (the same guy that did To Catch A Predator) did this story, maybe look it up? I would not get involved. I understand how hard it is to find work with the economy, trust me, been unemployed a year, but it sounds fishy. I wouldn’t risk it. I think you can get in some serious trouble too if they trace it to you. Even if you had no clue. Hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck!

Genealogy Etiquette. Can I write this guy an email or is it rude?

Filed under: email list database — admin @ 10:00 pm

I have been doing research and found info in the LDS database. A submitter is listed with full name and address.

More research turned up his email address posted on a genealogy website where he was asking for info on his family.

Can I send him an email or is that rude? The date on the email website is 1998, no date on LDS, so I have no idea if he is still working on genealogy.

One of the core values of any good genealogist is willingness to share information. I love being contacted about my research and never hesitate to get in touch with anyone who might have the answer to a question, especially if I already tried researching it by my own methods.

Or, your local lumber yard, like a UBC or something along those lines can print out an estimate for you which will itemize the lumber and materials needed and also the price.

where can i get a list of lawyers email addresses?

Filed under: email list business — admin @ 10:00 pm

I need a list of lawyers/solicitors/barristers email addresses to send out a business service I offer. Does anyone know where I can get a list of email addresses from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t know of any personal lawyers myself. But perhaps the yellow pages might help.
They may only have the company email instead, not the individual detail.
That’s all I know. Best luck
